Designing Worlds
Designing Worlds is the hit weekly show on design and designers in virtual worlds, brought to you by Prim Perfect Productions, the people behind Prim Perfect in co-production with treet.tv, the leading TV network in today’s virtual environments such as Second Life. From its roots as a “meta-makeover” show, the programme has developed into a magazine/factual format, adding interviews and visits to some of the most impressive locations in Second Life and other virtual environments.
The show goes out live in 720p High Definition every Monday at 2pm SLT/Pacific Time and is repeated through the week on the Treet Lifestyle channel. Shows can also be viewed on the Treet Designing Worlds and downloaded as podcasts via iTunes.

KONA Stream poster
The station you know today as KONA Stream had it’s origins in 2001. Shortly after getting DSL Ravishal experimented with Shoutcast.com and broadcasted for a few short periods of time. Later in 2004 he acquired some hobby transmitters and broadcasted with very low power to his neighborhood under the name “Cherry Hill Radio”.
In October 2006 Ravishal began streaming into Second Life with a new name of “East End Radio”. The East End was the original name of Second Life New England (SLNE). In February 2007 he relaunched as “KONA Radio” from the home base of Hukilau Island, a Hawaiian themed island. KONA Radio then began to spread all over the grid into various estates, clubs and private parcels. In November 2008 KONA Radio was listed in iTunes and saw enormous growth in listeners. At its peak, in the summer of 2010, KONA exceeded 24,000 TLH (Total Listener Hours) a month and reached the top 2500 stations listed on Shoutcast.com (out of 48,000 stations worldwide). Through 2009 and and 2010 KONA Radio was the number #1 listened to SL based radio station.
By the fall of 2010 it was becoming quite the burden to keep the station funded to pay royalties and fees. The station dropped it’s commercial
GoSpeed Racer
model and scaled back by delisting from iTunes and shedding it’s advertisers and sponsors. The name is now “KONA Stream” and it primarily serves the SL market.
The station is owned by Ravishal Bentham who runs the hardware and software behind the station. He also goes on microphone to DJ and make announcements. Assisting him is GoSpeed Racer who also DJs and promotes the station in world. The music is pretty varied in genres covering mostly mainstream Pop, Rock, and Motown from the 60s, 70s, & 80s.
The station will continue for the near future. Ideally Ravishal would like to get back on iTunes but that is dependent on revenue that is hard to come by. The economy is tough so securing sponsors is difficult.

Seasons of hope
Relay For Life® of Second Life® is thrilled to announce that KittyCatS! has created a special RFL of SL ‘Seasons of Hope’ breedable KittyCatS! collection to benefit the American Cancer Society.
Looking adorable and cute, the special ‘Seasons of Hope’ themed kitties were presented at the Home Expo on Saturday May 14. They will be on sale right through to Relay weekend in July.
Callie Cline and Equinox Pinion of KittyCatS presented the new kitties on the Home Expo’s Main Stage at 12:30pm SLT on Saturday May 14, followed by a live music concert with Mankind Tracer.
This marks the first time that RFL of SL has joined in a partnership of this type and the RFL of SL committee looks forward to the KittyCatS’ presence at Relay team events, at the Home Expo, and at Relay weekend, right alongside the Linden Bears.
‘We’re really honored to have been asked to partner with RFL and to be a sponsor at the Home Expo’ says Callie Cline. ‘It’s very exciting for the pet and breedables community as a whole, as well.
‘Creating these cats was a really touching experience for me as I have had a lot of people in my life die from cancer and in making these cats I thought of them and how they had impacted my life. So in each of these cats is a bit of some pretty amazing people who truly were with me during many seasons of my life and given me a lot of hope.’
‘People love animals and they bring so much joy into the world. We hope our contribution will provide meaning and help RFL of SL with its goals’ says Equinox Pinion.

This is UrbanizeD’s second year at the SL Home & Garden Expo. Creator, Pitsch Parx, is grateful to have the chance to be part of this great initiative.

UrbanizeD was created on Valentines Day 2009, on the Deizha estate. A spur of the moment decision of Pitschs’ to take his RL, creative background and unleash it on SL. What started out as rental homes, quickly changed into landscaping and designing furniture. To bring the rentals up to the standard Pitsch had in mind he has had to continually keep learning to create that what SL had not previously offered. This evolution continues still, to this day. Every collection shows progress on all sides of the process – textures, animations, and shapes. Raising the bar is part of what UrbanizeD exceeds at. Twice a year an all new collection is used to display the creativity they want to share with the people of SL.

Next to landscaping, furniture, and home deco design, Pitsch has used his talents to design and build commercial sims such as SL House & Garden and Prim Perfects recently opened headquarters. Lately, editing and photography have come into focus. He goes for every chance he gets to hone his talents to bring his work to the attention of a wider audience.
UrbanizeD’s main mission is to mix urban elements with organic shapes and textures. Bringing life to minimal concepts with daring choices of color and textures. Thinking outside of the box comes natural to, Bruxelles based, Pitsch, a graduate of st Lukas college of art & design. He tries to capture the ever changing nature of SL by giving the people the option to adapt their living space according to their mood. As nothing is constant in SL, he feels this must be reflected in the work he puts out.

The urge to keep adapting translates throughout the entire brand. Their presence in SL is ever changing. Opening new stores and the constant updating of stores is part of that. “We want to keep the shopping experience interesting and experiment with shops to find new audiences.” Taking part in the SL house and garden expo is another great way of showing the world what UrbanizeD has to offer.
During last years expo, Pitsch noticed that while the wide variety of designers is the perfect way to display the diversity of the SL creative potential, it can also have a disorienting and distracting effect. To create a good canvas to portray the work of each individual designer he has approached a group of talented friends with the aim to achieve a visitor friendly presentation.
The collective will focus to create a sim centered around a park with a big lake. To work towards a uniform look They will be using the same trees and flowers all over the sim. This will carry the look of the park over into the individual plots of the various shops.
“We want the park to be an inviting place, a steppingstone to begin the exploration of the various displays“. This park-approach has the function to give the people a relaxing place to visit and is the perfect place to view samples of the work of the designers.
UribanizeD will be introducing a number of new items at this expo such as long enticipated baths, new vases and lounge sets to pick up on that summer feel. New textures, new shapes, new animations everything you can expect from UrbanizeD.

Relay For Life of Second Life & KittyCatS! Partner for a specially commissioned RFLofSL KittyCatS! cat to benefit the American Cancer Society.
RFL of SL is thrilled to announce that KittyCatS! will be creating a special RFL of SL “KittyCatS Cat” that will be presented at the Home Expo on May 14th.
Both the RFL team and The KittyCatS! team (Callie Cline, Dennis Lagan & Equinox Pinion) are equally excited about this partnering and thrilled they could work together for this very special cause.
The new KittyCat will make its debut at the Home Expo on May 14th. Callie Cline and Equinox Pinion will be presenting the new kitty on the Expo’s Main Stage at 12:30 pm, followed by the launch of a live music concert with Mankind Tracer.
